Undercoat Brushes for Dogs

Your dog sheds. You vacuum. Your dog sheds again. There's not necessarily anything wrong with your dog – but you're probably using the wrong brush.

A regular brush removes what you see on the surface. An undercoat brush tackles the loose undercoat that sits beneath the topcoat – and that never works its way out on its own. Up to 80% of shedding originates there.

FURminator is the gold standard. Its patented steel comb reaches through the topcoat and loosens the loose undercoat without cutting healthy hair. The results are noticeable after the first use and improve week by week. The correct size and coat length are crucial – a small dog with long hair needs a completely different model than a large dog with short hair. Here you'll find all combinations: XS to XL, short-haired and long-haired.

Unsure which model is right for you? Read our FURminator guide where we help you choose based on breed and coat length.

Regular brushing – once a week – significantly reduces shedding. Your dog will appreciate it. As will your sofa.
